Here we go this image is from the Filoli Estate this past October during my texture & depth watercolor workshop. I did crop in real close to the image I might show the original image later...
Projecting the image into my stretched watercolor paper (arches 156 cold press) over 1 1/2 inch stretcher bars. Love this surface when painting large. It's 48 inches tall by 30 inches wide - well it will be when I'm done sketching it!
....and the project begins....
Thanks for stopping by.....

Guy, I am very excited about your next project. How do you project your images...I have a slide projector but not a digital...I just love roses so hurry up and get that baby started.
Mary there are so many options!
I used my superprism artograph projector for this image. I also have an epson digital projector that I hook up to my Mac, but the superprism really worked better as it afforded more clarity.
Superprism Artograph you have to work in a dark environment.
The epson digital projector works even in a lighted environment.
Thanks for asking Mary hope I answered your question & I'll start soon... I promise
winter projects are the best, can not wait to see it develop.
